Hi Im Ewan! At around 10 years old, I developed a passion for aviation. At the End of 2022, I always went out to the airport With my friend once a month to see the early morning arrivals like the 380 and many 330s. I started taking photos on my phone and got a chance to see the Emirates destination Dubai livery.
After spotting a couple of times, I copped a 15yo canon 30D at around February, making my photos improve a little more. I started to find more and more places around Brisbane airport to find better angles, shooting and editing non-backlit photos. I spotted some rare planes such as a Malaysian 330 in the tiger livery at around March and a national 747 that had operated under qantas as a cargo flight from Christchurch.
at the end of march, i started Borrowing my dad's Canon EOS 6d and copped a 10yo 70-300mm lens, making my photos improve a heap. Throughout 2023, i Spotted many rare planes flying into Brissy. including a USAf Kc-46a Extender that arrived from Hawaii, And a Aero trans cargo 747bcf from India. I was very lucky to be able to go to the Brisbane airport aviation expo in may, which there i saw a raaf c27j, 737, e190 and 2 ex minerology md-82s which i got a private tour and look in the cockpit towards the end of the day. i was also lucky enough to see a diverted Qf380 that departed just before i left.
Towards the end of July, a USAF E4b Nightwatch had visited along with a vC-32a and a few c17s and G650s carrying the United States President of Defence and other electives. The next day I bought a Canon Ef 100-400mm lens right before the Pacific Airshow a few days later. Towards the end of the year, I met many Brisbane spotters and eventually, I was off to japan where I spotted at many different locations such as Osaka Kansai, Okinawa and Tokyo Haneda where i got my canon eos 6d mark II!
In 2024, i have accomplished of 30k followers on tiktok with photos on tiktok, Instagram and right here on my portfolio and maybe eventually on a marketplace! I have been featured in the gold coast bulletin, been liked by many airlines on my photos and been followed by some airlines around the world! with my brand new canon eos 6d mark ii i have achieved over 60 photos on both planespotters.net and jetphotos to show i have come a long way.
